About the Artist
Siobhan Duggan is a Delaware-based artist and educator whose work explores the intersection of landscape, light, and studio practice. Her art bridges the contemplative beauty of nature with the joy of process-based making.
She began drawing and painting as a child and went on to earn her BFA from SUNY Purchase and her MAT from the School of Visual Arts in New York City. After a decade of teaching in New York, Siobhan relocated to Delaware, where she continues to balance life as a practicing artist, full-time art teacher, and parent of two children and two cats, Pumpkin and Pancakes.
Her work spans drawing, printmaking, watercolor, and pastel, with a recent focus on plein air pastel landscapes. She was awarded a Delaware Division of the Arts Individual Artist Fellowship for Emerging Artists (Works on Paper) and has led community workshops and creative projects throughout Sussex County.
Rooted in the Teaching for Artistic Behavior (TAB) philosophy, Siobhan helps students see themselves as artists through choice, autonomy, and authentic process. Whether in the classroom or the studio, her work is guided by curiosity, creativity, and a deep appreciation for the subtle beauty of everyday life.
